Gas prices do go down for the winter time b/c they switch to a cheaper fuel mix and the summer driving season is over. But... the prices recently drop by a greater percentage then in the past, and very quickly considering the first day autumn was last Saturday (Sept 23).

Another thing to consider, are other energy costs going down? Such as natural gas, propane, heating oil... etc.
